Striper Fishing Considered by many to be the ultimate Freshwater trophy.  Stripers can grow to  over Fifty pounds and  60 + inches. Specialized  gear  and  techniques  are used  to  catch  Stripers which average 26  to  40  inches,  and  weigh  15 to 30 pounds. The Striper is a Saltwater Fish introduced into the clear waters of Lake Cumberland. It grows fast dining on gizzard shad and alewives in the deep clear waters. These fish will strip line and pull drags like no other fish in Freshwater. Stripers up to 60 pounds have been caught in Freshwater.
